Grant Guidelines

The focus of grant funding for the Roger Kresge Foundation is for the physical, mental and educational development of children and young adults.

Grants are limited to organizations with current tax exempt status as a qualified non-profit organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Organizations must be located in or directly assisting residents of Broome County, New York.

The Foundation does not lend or grant money to individuals, nor does it typically fund churches or other organizations for religious purposes.

To begin the grant process:

Please contact the Foundation by phone or letter. The Executive Director will contact the individual making the inquiry, to discuss the eligibility of the grant request. This discussion must precede submission of a full grant application. If the grant request meets the Foundation’s focus and guidelines, a grant application and summary form will be mailed to the organization. The grant application deadline is March 1st of each year.
